These teachings from Jesus are heavy. This is a tough part of Jesus’ ministry as it begins to go downhill - YET, Jesus ends his series of rebukes during his 1st preaching tour as the prophets often do… with hope and invitation to those who have ears to hear:

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
